Here's another staircase idea that I might've created, or might've stolen. I don't remember. It uses 2x2 turntables in the center, instead of 1x1 dots:

Very nice work. But there is something wrong.The spiral is in the wrong direction. It was in the other direction at middle age so people who where defending in the castle could use the right hand but the attacking team could only use the left hand as they moved up the spiral.
